Environment Policy

Lloyd Catering Equipment acknowledges that its operations have an impact on the global and local environment.

Lloyd Catering Equipment is a supplier of catering equipment and provider of foodservice facilities to the hospitality industry.

As a company we take our environmental responsibilities very seriously and continuously look to improve our environmental performance. Current environmental legislation and regulations are to be regarded as the minimum standards against which environmental performance is to be evaluated.

We have implemented measures to reduce waste in all areas of the business.

  • We try and ensure that we purchase products that have been manufactured by companies that demonstrate environmentally sound methods and policies.
  • Material waste is recycled where possible, toilets have been fitted with water reducing flushing systems, low voltage lighting has been fitted where practical.
  • Waste paper is reused either for note taking and or shredded for mail order packaging.
  • Approximately 90% of the packaging we receive from suppliers is reused for our own deliveries.
  • The waste we cannot re-use is collected on a weekly basis by a specialist-recycling firm.

Lloyd Catering Equipment provides adequate HR and financial resources to implement this policy and ensure it is fully communicated and understood by all involved.

As part of the continuing programme of developing and improving our environmental performance we will regularly review this policy at least annually to ensure suitability, adequacy and effectiveness.

This environmental policy is available to all relevant parties.
